4 Months

Liam is already 4 months old! I can not believe how time flies. Here are a few things about my youngest baby-

He is super ticklish. Touching his neck makes him laugh and he giggles every time I change his clothes

He still hates pacifiers and being on his tummy

loves to be held (all day if he had his way)

He has only ever peed once during bath time and never while getting his diaper changed. That has to be some sort of baby boy record

The shoes in the picture at the top still do not fit him yet

on average he goes through at least 3 outfits a day (mostly because he drools a lot!)

He is the sweetest, cutest little 4 month old around

It's beginning to feel like Fall. This week it has been highs of 80 and that is awesome. In the mornings it is cool enough to take the boys out for a walk and not get heat stroke. Gavin LOVES taking walks and being outside but unfortunately for him.... Liam HATES it. Liam does not like sun and he really doesn't like wind so even though he can sit up fine in the stroller I still have to put the car seat on top of the stroller because then he is fully covered. He will tolerate being out for a little while but starts screaming to go in long before Gavin and I are ready. We still go out almost everyday though, maybe he will eventually get used to it.
Monday morning I wanted to take my camera out with us because our park we walk in is just so beautiful (I can't wait till the leaves change) but as we were walking out the door I realized I hadn't grabbed it yet and just thought it wouldn't matter. We were still in the apartment complex when a firetruck came through. I've seen them before go through and do testing on hydrants. They saw Gavin and turned their lights on and waved and were just really nice. I was SO angry that I didn't have my camera because Gavin is really into cars and trucks right now (especially fire trucks since he has a few) and that would have been some great pictures. Even I was a little thrilled, it was just so big and shiny :)
The next day again I hadn't grabbed my camera and a weird looking animal ran across our path. The nearby park is literally woods so we see animals a lot but mostly deer. I had no clue what this was though because it was the same size as a large raccoon or possum but I had never seen anything like it before. From now on I am always taking my camera when we go out but that probably will mean nothing will happen.

Liam is just getting so big. He can reach for and grab toys and anything else really, watch out for your skin (ask Rachel). Awhile back he rolled over twice but since he hates being on his tummy he stopped that. He is still a great sleeper, he is so close to just sleeping straight through the night. He goes to sleep about 6:30pm and lately has been waking at 5:30am. He goes back to sleep for another hour after that but it would be awesome if he didn't get up then at all.
He also is really starting to adore Gavin. He will sit and smile and laugh just watching Gavin run around. I love seeing that because that is the beginning of what will hopefully be a great relationship.

A few more IL pictures

Here are some pics that Karen took when the boys visited their grandparents and great-grandparents when we were in Illinois.

a few pictures

When we were in Illinois my mom bought these little ice cream cones for Gavin. If he eats most of his dinner he gets one for a treat (it doesn't happen often). He loves the cones and even though they are tiny he still manages to make quite a mess. He had spaghetti for dinner which is why his whole face is orange. (he needs a hair cut badly! I might actually get around to it one of these days)

He is saying "ow! my eye, my eye!" He said that every time I took a picture because the flash "hurt" his eye. It didn't stop him from wanting his picture taken though. What a goofball

Gavin has gotten over his jealousy as quickly as it started (I'm sure it will be back) He has been a great sweet brother the last few days. One morning I woke up hearing Gavin saying to Liam "Hi Liam, morning" It was so nice to hear. The next morning Liam had woken up early with gas pains so I had brought him into sleep with me. When Gavin woke up I heard him say "where did he go?".

Liam has started the cutest thing. When he is nursing and beginning to get full he will take a break and start talking to me. The noises he makes are so adorable. He just looks up at me with his sweet little face and I could swear he is trying to tell me something, then he will go back eat a little bit more, then tell me something new.

My Grandma, Mom's mom, had a big scare last week. She went to the hospital with pneumonia and after a couple of days in the hospital she got worse and was put in the ICU. It got so bad that my Aunt was told it would be a good idea to call family in. We were all extremely worried and my parents came right down. For a while she was in a stable condition- not getting worse but not much better either but finally she is improving. We are all relieved and thank God for helping her pull through. She has a long road ahead for recovery but it is great considering we thought that we could lose her.

shortly after we got home a couple weeks ago I looked out our kitchen door and saw this turtle walking by- it was the strangest thing. By the time I got Gavin and a camera, it had hidden under our air conditioner so it isn't the best picture. He didn't stick around too long and I've been looking for him ever since :(

These are from my parents van on the way home. Liam loves to look at me and these are just a few I took that day.

We were getting ready for a walk so Gavin put Liam's hat on for him. So sweet

I don't know if you can tell, but his hair is sticking straight up

he is just SO cute!

Illinois Pictures

I got my camera cord in the mail today - even though my mom did address it to Goldie Hillyer. 4 years and she still does that all of the time :)
