Zoo/Pumpkin Carving

We had a great weekend! My sisters, Jacob and I took Gavin to the zoo on Saturday and it was the perfect weather for it. Gavin is at a great age to enjoy the zoo and he got so excited at all the animals and pointed (as seen in the pictures) and yelled at each animal. We all had fun just watching him. When we were in line to get tickets there was an older boy (6ish) in front of us and he was dressed as a pirate. He told Gavin that he was a Pirate Who Doesn't Do Anything but "in real life I really do something" and then he did a dance. SO funny!
Sunday Ellie came over and brought a pumpkin she had got a couple weeks ago in Illinois. She wanted to carve it with Gavin, it was his first and he had fun.

Enjoying a bird at the entrance

Rachel let Gavin pick out a stuffed animal. He finally settled on this baby tiger

This Meerkat was just a foot away from us- watching us as we watched him

Ellie took Gavin into the little area that lets you stick your head right in the middle of the Meerkat area. I wish the picture had better captured Ellie trying to get back out! Ha Ha

"Dinosaur!!"

The white paper says "Do NOT Enter" -so Jacob entered

It's hard to tell but he is eating horse meat- gross!

Liam stayed with Aunt Judy while we were at the zoo

Ellie told Gavin these were a Mommy pumpkin and a baby pumpkin. So when we started to cut the "mommy" open he started to cry!

when the pumpkins mouth was cut out, Gavin used it for his mouth. He is so funny!
